June was been a busy month. Two themes a week is a tough schedule to keep up with. But…it was been so much F.U.N!!!!! It’s been fun to go from a transportation theme to a girly theme throughout the day. This is our last week of girly fun!
Here’s our book: Camilla the Cupcake Fairy. It’s a really cute book about a little fairy who needs the power of friendship to help make her very first wand work! Her wand has a special power to make things a little sweeter!
The craft was the girls’ (and my) favorite part! We made fairy wands! The wand pictured below was for an articulation client. We also made them with verbs and nouns for my clients working on grammar. I have this template in the fairy packet that will be added to my TpT shop. I just a printed 2 stars. The artic targets are typed on it but you could also just write them on there. The girls colored their stars. There are 2 stars; one for the front and one for the back. I cut them out and we glued them onto a paper straw. I chose cute pink and white striped straws from a local craft supply store. I cut scrap ribbon I had. I let the girls choose if they wanted long ribbons or short ribbons. The ribbons were tied around the straw under the star. For the final touch, the girls were able to choose a rhinestone to glue in the middle of their wand.
There are several different activities in the fairy packet that will be added soon the TeachersPayTeachers store. Be sure to follow so you get the latest new product updates! Below is a coloring activity I used with some of my older grammar clients.
This little game is easy to use in a mixed group setting. Address each child’s goals while making cupcakes! It’s easy to play and could be used in any sweet treat theme!! You could easily use this game if you do a “Pinkalicious” theme too!
Hope everyone is enjoying the last of their summer breaks! If you’re like me, you’re enjoying the last weeks of your summer work schedule.
